ELIGIBILITY:
REQUIREMENTS OF SCHOLARSHIP WINNER AND FINALIST(S):
By submitting an application, applicants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound to these Terms and Conditions.
The VII Foundation program will be administered in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations including, but not limited to, those promulgated by the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Participants retain all copyrights to their work. Obligations of participants are as follows:
Participants agree to grant royalty-free licenses for his/her work produced during the program for possible exhibition and/or publication (no guarantees are made for publication or exhibition) of such work in connection with this program; for educational and/or community outreach purposes, including lesson plans; and, in addition to his or her likeness, for publicity and press purposes by The VII Foundation related to this program. Any photograph so used by The VII Foundation will carry the photographer’s credit/copyright line wherever possible.
Participants waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. The VII Foundation and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees and agents do not have and will not have any liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless against, any liability for any illness, injuries, losses, death, litigation, claim or damages of any kind to persons or property resulting in or in part, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any scholarship.
Should a court of law find The VII Foundation liable for loss or damage, their total liability will be limited to the amount of the tuition fee to the program, and in no event shall they be liable for attorney’s fees.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANT PRIVACY NOTICE:
It will be necessary for The VII Foundation to collect applicants‘ personal data in order to administer and manage this program, including but not limited to processing the program applications, keeping program applicants informed about the program, and making distributions. The types of personal data we collect for this program includes each applicant’s name, affiliated business/school name, email address, telephone number, postal address, and other information requested in the application form. The VII Foundation only collects personal data voluntarily submitted by applicants. Personal data submitted by applicants will only be used to administer and manage this program and for The VII Foundation internal use such as performing marketing studies, research projects, and program development.
The VII Foundation will not share, sell, or rent personal data submitted by program applicants to any third parties for their promotional use or for marketing purposes, except in the event a third-party vendor is acting as an agent of The VII Foundation for operational support in connection with the program.
The VII Foundation principle place of business is in the United States. If the program applicant is submitting the application from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where The VII Foundation’s servers are located, and you agree to such cross-border transfers of personal data.
The VII Foundation are committed to protecting personal data from loss, misuse, alteration, and unauthorized access and take reasonable precautions to safeguard the confidentiality of personal data, including physical access controls to our premises, use of passwords for access to our systems, use of encryption when appropriate, and use of anti-virus software. Although The VII Foundation make every effort to protect the information you provide to us, the transmission of information between applicants to us over the internet is not completely secure. As such, The VII Foundation cannot guarantee the security of personal data transmitted over the internet notwithstanding the high level of protection undergone. MONETARY DISTRIBUTION AND DEADLINES:
For those program participants that are eligible to receive travel-related costs or other expenses, participants will submit an invoice and receipts of travel or other expenses and will then be reimbursed by The VII Foundation.
Participants must submit the high-resolution images, text, and/or video produced during the workshop, event or program to The VII Foundation within 1 week of the end of the workshop or event.
Participants are responsible for reporting the scholarship for tax purposes as required by applicable law.
