In this cinematographic portrait of Swiss photographer Daniel Schwartz, we discover an artist who has been scouring the globe for four years, to raise interest in his new project focusing on melting and collapsing glaciers, “While the Fire Burns”.
At the same time, it sheds light on both the protagonist’s past and his work – a work rooted in humanist tradition and guided by a deep sense of history and understanding for the intertwined issues of our time. This film outlines Schwartz’s personal motivations, showing us a photographer who has been involved for many decades, and giving us access to the fascinating works of a man taking responsibility through art.
