Danny Wilcox Frazier will present his work at The Center for Documentary Studies’ 25th Anniversary celebration and national forum on November 21, 2015 at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

Danny will share work from the Midwest and Great Plains in an essay titled, “Bury Me Not On The Lone Prairie.” Following the presentation, he will speak on the “In Place: Hidden Histories of our Lives” photography panel with Sylvia Plachy and Latoya Ruby-Frazier and moderated by Deborah Willis.

About the panel:

Photographs capture moments in time, portray juxtapositions in space. Yet what they convey is neither static nor simply literal. Photographs can reveal things we fail to see in our daily lives, even as they comment on what we have lived through; and they can evoke things we cannot see—especially so when a photographer makes images in one place over an extended time, when that place carries connotations of home.
