Maciek Nabrdalik will be giving a lecture on October 18, 2014, called “Comfort Zone is a Bad Place to Be In”.

Nabrdalik describes, “I started as a photojournalist in a Polish daily newspaper and made my way to one of the most respected photo agencies in the world. I barely experienced the golden times of editorial photography. We live in the new world now. In this lecture, using my own experience, I will analyze the thought process of a photographer who doesn’t want to sink among the millions of images that surround us every day. In addition, I will try to answer the question of how important is the personal style in photography today? What is the role of photographers now? And how to find ourselves in the world that has already been thoroughly described though photographs.”
