VII photographer Christopher Morris will lead an intensive, 4-day workshop for a group of photographers and picture editors to expose students to the different forms of photojournalism that are prevalent today. Discussions will cover topics from ethics to creative photographic styles, as well as the common mistakes that many working photographers make today and what makes a successful photograph. Morris will explore these topics through his own working formulas for portraiture, film making & archiving.
The workshop schedule will include:
Day 1 – Sit with Morris to review theories for image making.
Day 2 – Review participants’ work as a group and assist each individual identify his/her distinctive style.
Day 3 – Individual shooting assignments, based on personal interest, designed to help each participant put into practice lessons learned in the previous two days.
Day 4 – One-on-one tutorials with Morris to spend time editing and constructing individual assignments. Upon completion of the editing process, participants will present to the group.
