Depending on who you’re talking to, Middle Eastern Photography is either at its peak or lagging far behind.
Join a panel of photographers at this candid and honest discussion about the state of Middle Eastern photography. This panel will include VII Photographer Ed Kashi and former VII Mentee, Laura El-Tantawy. There is no getting away from the fact that it is an ambitious task to cover such a wide ranging topic but we feel it’s important to engage and ask tough and pertinent questions as to how Middle Eastern photography fares in comparison to the rest of the world.
We’ll touch upon both commercial and editorial (documentary) streams and get the insights from working photographers, people in the industry and Ed Kashi who has covered the region in-depth for personal and VII Photo assignments.
