National Geographic Museum
Washington, D.C.
Women of Vision features the work of eleven female photographers who have covered issues and events from war torn battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan and the last great wildernesses of Africa, to the lives of people from the Arctic to the Jersey Shore. Together, their stories explore modern realities and what it means to be human in the 21st Century.
With more than 100 images and multimedia, this exhibition profiles the lives and work of these important photojournalists, including VII’s Stephanie Sinclair and Lynsey Addario. Visitors experience the personalities and get behind the lens for the individual stories that make these projects so memorable. This exhibition is in conjunction with a year-long celebration of 125 years of National Geographic photography.
