The VII Academy is sponsoring three intensive weeks of lectures, discussions, practice, screenings, photography and physical and mental exercises, taught by Philip Blenkinsop and Daniel Schwartz and designed to raise the level of all aspects of your photographic practice.

This course will take you from the initial planning stages of a reportage, essay or personal long-term project through to the practical concerns, its execution and your choice of visual language. Philip and Daniel will guide you in knowing what you want to say, your approach, the questions of ethics that may arise and the shooting process itself. The final days of the course will lead you through the ever-important editing stages for presentations on pages and walls and help you shape the final narrative that will determine how your work is interpreted by others and makes impact.
