“My husband doesn’t have a job. When he lost his job, we were expelled from the house we were renting. At the hospital, I received advice to feed avocado, banana and enriched flour to Rahamata. But since I don’t have any money, I cannot afford that food. I am thankful to the medical staff at the hospital for the assistance we have received, but I don’t know what the future holds for me and my family. I want my kids to go to school, eat when they are hungry and grow to become successful people. I am not afraid for myself; I am afraid for my children.
You see my house, this is my life.” – Raoda Mahamat
