Gabriel Eisenmeier is a photo- and multimedia editor at de Volkskrant, a daily Dutch newspaper.
Gabriel studied photography at St. Joost School of Art & Design in Breda (2008). After working as a photographer for several years he started as a photo editor for de Volkskrant. At first, he worked only for the printed newspaper. Over the years, his work began to focus more on an online/digital approach.
As a photo editor, he is responsible for domestic and international news stories for print and online. When working on multimedia projects he is focused on online storytelling, producing multimedia productions, and managing the visual side of long-term projects.
Gabriel was involved in several multimedia projects that were nominated or awarded at Society for News Design, European Newspaper Award and World Press Photo.
