Rebecca Cappelli

Rebecca Cappelli is an award-winning French filmmaker and animal rights activist based in Switzerland. Her work aims to create culture change and to empower people to become advocates for the animals, the planet, and vulnerable communities.

Rebecca is the producer and director of the feature documentary SLAY (available on iTunes, Amazon, and free on WaterBear), which exposes the ongoing use of animal skins within the fashion industry. She also directed and produced Let Us Be Heroes (2018), an award-winning short exploring the impact of our food and lifestyle choices on our health, our planet, and our values.

Rebecca has lived in Asia for over 18 years, including Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and speaks fluent Mandarin. She is also a public speaker, an educator, an animal rescuer, and a photographer.
