People in distress on a rubber boat just before being rescued at around 20 miles from the Libyan coast with 130 people on board. This Rubber boat left Tripoli the night of 26. An alert was launched by IMRCC ( Italian Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre) of Rome to Aquarius around 4 a.m. The rescue ship of Aquarius get the place around 9 a.m. The rescue operations last 4 hours. At the end of the day 89 people were saved among them 7 children from 15 days to 7 years old. Two women died on board of Aquarius and a third in Sfax in Tunisia where she was transport by an helicopter of Italian navy. 27 January 2018 International water Sicily Channel.
