WORLD PRESS PHOTO

We’re thrilled to celebrate the incredible talent within our alumni and VII Community, as several members have been recognized in this year’s World Press Photo Contest! The awarded photographs were selected from 59,320 entries received from 3,778 photographers from 141 countries. Thirty out of 42 winners were also local to the country where they photographed their project.

Among the 2025 winners are six photographers from the The VII Foundation network. We recently spoke with each of the award winners about their projects and journalists practices. Hear their insights and inspirations below.
