Laura Covelli is the exhibit curator of the Festival of Ethical Photography.
She began her professional career at the United Nations, working in the fields of visual communication, marketing, and corporate social responsibility. She has always been involved in visual literacy activities through programs created in collaboration with photographers, institutions, schools, and non-profit organizations.
Since she started to work for the Festival, Laura has selected and curated exhibitions of internationally renowned photographers, contributing to the promotion of photography as a tool for reflection on social and ethical issues.
Her work also includes moderating author talks and book presentations, where she engages in dialogue with photographers and journalists. She delves into topics related to contemporary photography and photojournalism that often tell unheard stories, offering the public the opportunity to confront diverse and complex realities.
For the Festival, she also coordinates educational programs for students and teachers, the World Report Award | Documenting Humanity, and the Open Call for the non-profit sector, while also teaching with a particular focus on social photography and reportage.
