Jasmina Djikoli

Jasmina Djikoli is a Sarajevo-based journalist and filmmaker with over 25 years of experience across radio, print, and documentary film production. She specializes in human rights, transitional justice, and geopolitical issues, with a particular focus on the Balkans and the role of media in post-conflict societies.

Jasmina holds a law degree and a master’s degree in information security from the University of Sarajevo, which informs her work at the intersection of media, technology, and digital rights. She has worked with leading media outlets such as Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), Al Jazeera and Balkan Insight, contributing both investigative reporting and compelling storytelling on complex topics, including the legacy of war, post-conflict reconciliation, and the fight for gender equality.

Her work also extends into the film industry, where she has contributed as an author, consultant and researcher on documentary and feature film projects that explore themes of war, memory, and resilience. Jasmina has worked on films such as Bone Hunter, which delves into the forensic search for missing persons in post-war Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other projects that examine the legacies of conflict and the power of storytelling in confronting the past.

Her work reflects a deep commitment to amplifying marginalized voices, challenging dominant narratives, and using media to inspire awareness, empathy, and social progress.
