Paolo Verzone

For almost 30 years, Paolo Verzone has been photographing the world around him.
 
Over the last three decades, he has completed several long-term projects, including Seeuropeans (1994-2002), The Moscow Project (1991–2021), and Cadets (2009-2014). He is currently documenting the impact and consequences of climate change within the Arctic.
Verzone is regularly commissioned by magazines such as National Geographic, Newsweek, Le Monde, The Independent, The Sunday Times, Liberation, Vanity Fair, GEO, GQ, Amica, Rolling Stone, Marie Claire, Mare, The Courier International, and Das Magazin.
 
Verzone has received World Press Photo awards in 2000, 2009, and 2015, as well as Picture of the Year International in 2023. His photographs are housed in collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, and the Istituto Nazionale della Grafica in Rome, and he is currently a Canon Ambassador. Verzone also became a National Geographic Explorer in 2024.
