Julián Cabral

Julián Cabral (b. 2004, Argentina) is a documentary photographer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He focuses on long-term personal projects that seek to explore the relationship between human beings and their environment.
 
Cabral views photography as a tool for personal healing and social transformation. In his latest project, Lito Cabral unwittingly documented the last year of his uncle Carlos’ life, who lived with schizophrenia. He is currently working on his long-term project, Trillizos, in which he explores youth, the passage of time, and the lives of three triplet brothers living in Buenos Aires.
 
Cabral’s work has received recognition and scholarships, such as a featured prize in the Ian Parry Scholarship (2022) and first prize in the Documentary Photography Awards (2023). He was nominated for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award (2023) and selected to participate in the prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop in New York (2024). His recent work, Triplets, received first prize in the ‘New Talents’ category of the Ibero-American POY Latam Awards 2025 and was one of the 10 finalists in the student category of the Sony World Photography Awards 2026.
