VII Internship Program

The VII Photo Internship Program is a four-month part-time commitment of roughly 40 hours per month. The position pays a monthly stipend of 300 euros.

Candidates must be based in Europe — ideally either France, Germany, Italy or the United Kingdom. Work may be done remotely, however candidates local to Rome have the opportunity of working from VII photographer Davide Monteleone’s studio.

Candidates should have or be pursuing a degree in photography or possess comparable photography work experience. The position requires a fluency in written and spoken English. Fluency in German, French or Italian would be of great additional benefit.

The workflow is quite varied and encompasses all facets of the agency. It is important to note that it is very office heavy. While the intern will have the opportunity to interact with the the photographers, the position is definitely agency-centric. Being organized, efficient and responsible are necessary to be considered for this.

The intern will assist with prepping images for the archive, which includes captioning and key wording. Additionally, the intern will work on fulfilling research requests, which come from our varied clients. This involves searching through our extensive archive to find images that will satisfy given parameters. The intern may also assist in marketing efforts such as social media campaigns and the compilation of our monthly newsletters.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English (fluency in German, French or Italian preferred)
  • Understanding of IPTC
  • Familiarity with HTML and WordPress



Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Research requests
  • Writing and editing captions and keywords for images
  • Post and share news and events on social media and VII’s website
  • Assist in the creation of the monthly newsletter
  • General office tasks
