Collectively, we refer to the Websites, social media, emails, and offline business interactions as the “Services.”

This Privacy Policy does not apply to our job applicants, employees, contractors, owners, directors, or officers where the Personal Information we collect about those individuals relates to their current, former, or potential role with us. Applications submitted via Idealist are handled directly through that platform and subject to their privacy policy.

“Personal Information” is information that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable individual. The Services collect Personal Information, including:

We and our service providers collect Personal Information in a variety of ways, including:

  • Through the Services. We collect Personal Information when you subscribe to our newsletter, pledge a donation, register for or attend one of our events, apply for one of our education or mentorship programs, or create a profile as an invited alumnus or guest.

We need to collect Personal Information in order to provide the requested Services to you. If you do not provide the information requested, we may not be able to provide the Services.

    • To provide the Services’ functionality, such as facilitating your participation in our educational programs, workshops, mentorship programs, and events.

    • To send you marketing-related emails with information about our services, projects, and news.
    • To facilitate social sharing functionality.

We also use and disclose your Personal Information as required by law, in cooperation with authorities, for legal reasons, and in connection with a sale or business transaction.

PAYMENTS

Payments made through our Website are processed via Donorbox (Stripe, PayPal) and Shopify. The VII Foundation does not collect or store your payment card information directly.

USE OF SERVICES BY MINORS

The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of sixteen (16), and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from individuals under 16. Profiles are only created for invited alumni and invited guests.

JURISDICTION AND CROSS-BORDER TRANSFER

Your Personal Information may be stored and processed in any country where we have facilities or service providers, including the United States, France, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

We do not sell or share Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may request to know or delete their Personal Information, as provided by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). Requests can be made using the contact details below.
