About Foundry Photojournalism Workshop USA 2022

This workshop, hosted by VII Academy, in partnership with PhotoWings, will inspire, sharpen your photographic skills, and develop your visual literacy skills, storytelling abilities, and help refine your personal vision. You’ll become part of the worldwide Foundry and VII Academy continuing education community, a network that spans the globe.

As usual, there are no tuition fees to attend. All you have to do is apply and wait to hear if you’ve been selected! Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, so although you won’t hear if you’ve been successful until after the application deadline, apply early to get your choice of instructor.

Now in its fourteenth year, the Foundry Photojournalism Workshop offers majority world students and those from underrepresented communities in G20 countries who could not otherwise afford it a chance to learn from some of the world’s most well-respected photojournalists and photography professionals.

In 2022, Foundry again brings participants, this time from the United States, together to learn visual journalism in an online celebration of our industry. Tutors will include VII Photo Agency’s Danny Wilcox Frazier, Christopher Morris, and Maggie Steber.
