This intense two day workshop on Saturday June 21 and Sunday June 22 will explore the multifaceted approaches to photojournalism and help guide you on your own photographic path. Ron Haviv, an award winning photojournalist, will lead discussions guiding each person’s narrative direction which will then be developed over the weekend. Through a combination of portfolio reviews, assignments, and editing sessions, Ron will encourage participants to work using their instinct rather than formula. Developing a personal sensitivity and visual style will be emphasized. Ron will share his own work and experience as a photojournalist, illuminating the current reality of the field and the importance of shooting in your own voice. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of what it takes to succeed in photojournalism today, and be on your way to clarifying your personal vision.
