(Private opening on Oct. 13, 2016)

In honor of VII’s 15th anniversary, the group projects Questions Without Answers and SMILE will be exhibited at the Czech Photo Centre from Oct. 14 – Nov. 30, 2016. A private invitation-only opening will be held on Oct. 13, 2016.

Questions Without Answers presents the groundbreaking works of VII photographers. Spanning subjects ranging from conflict, humanitarian crisis and social commentary to fashion and portraiture, each story highlights not only a critical moment in our history over the last 25 years but also each photographer’s rare insight and individual voice. From the end of the Cold War to the present day, this exhibition brings together some of the most important, moving and compelling stories they have told – from images of the Balkan Conflict, 9/11 and the Indian Ocean Tsunami, to the 2016 United States presidential campaign.

This comprehensive exhibition complements another joint project of the VII agency’s photographers entitled SMILE. Showcasing work that explores the complexities of a seemingly simple emotion, SMILE features photographs of people from around the world smiling in situations that range from family celebrations to moments of relief found in war zones.
