Anton Kusters (Belgium, 1974) is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work explores the representation of trauma and loss of experience of place. He recently completed “The Blue Skies Project”, a long term mixed media installation across several platforms, installed in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in 2019 and shown at Les Rencontres d’Arles in 2021. His work is in the public collections at V&A Museum London, ICP Museum New York and FoMu Antwerp. He was a finalist of the Deutsche Börse Foundation Photography Prize in 2020. His continued focus is on the significance of viewer and subject position.
