Gwendolyne Cressman is a Senior lecturer in North American studies at the University of Strasbourg (France). Her research interests include conceptual as well documentary photography in Canada and the United States with a special focus on issues related to landscapes, identities and nation. She has recently published on contemporary Canadian landscape photography with Sillages Critiques (2023) and co-edited several volumes with Polysèmes (2022), Interfaces (2023); and Intermedialities (2025). She is also the co-editor of the journal Ranam in anglophone studies and co-directs the “Études Anglophones” series at the Presses Universitaires de Strasbourg (PUS).
