Jackie Molloy

Jackie is a freelance photojournalist and writer based in New York City. She creates a wide range of work, from fashion and portraiture to editorial assignments and intimate storytelling.

Most of Jackie’s previous long-form work has documented modern families overcoming adversity. Her photographs explore the complex evolving nature of family and demonstrate its increasing fluidity, begging the question: what is family in America today?

In 2022 Jackie was a winner of Young Guns 20, an award for creative professionals under 30 globally; she was also listed on “The 30: New and Emerging Photographers to Watch” and awarded the Leica Women Foto Project x VII Mentor Program. Jackie has previously completed a three-year mentorship with Ed Kashi and James Estrin and attended the New York Portfolio Review and the Eddie Adams Workshop. Her work was exhibited in Photoville in 2020 and 2019. Her story “A Family in Transition” was awarded a Yunghi Kim Grant in 2016.
