Louise Fedotov-Clements

Louise Fedotov-Clements is the director of Photoworks, a national and international platform focussed on the development of photography and related media. She is also a National Curator of Contemporary Art, Forestry England, where she collaborates on an arts program of commissions, residencies, and research across 1500 forests, including Co-Direction of the international Earth Photo program of exhibitions, awards, and events focussed on photography and moving image.

Louise has been the artistic director of QUAD, a center for contemporary art, film, and new technologies in Derby UK for 20 years, since 2001. She was also the director and co-founder of FORMAT International Photography Festival for 18 years, since 2004.

As an independent photography curator, she directed commissions, publications, performances, and exhibitions. Louise has been a guest curator for several international exhibitions and festivals, including Dong Gang (Yeongwol) South Korea; Photoquai Biennale Musée du quai Branly Paris; Les Rencontres Arles, Discoveries; Dali Photo, China; Venice Biennale EM15; Photo Beijing, and LishuiPhoto China; Korea International Photo Festival. 

She is also a steering group member for FORMAT International Photography Festival and a board member for Archivo and Inspirate. Louise is a regular juror, portfolio reviewer, workshop leader, speaker, and award nominator throughout Europe, America, Africa, and Asia.
