Prin Rodriguez is a Peruvian photographer whose work is linked to the representation of identity and family legacy, seeking experimental and sensory narratives. Through her artistic practice, she explores individual memory and its connection to collective memory to bring us closer to other ways of sharing and preserving knowledge. Rodriguez’s work often contains elements of both reality and fantasy, whether through constructed narratives inspired by reality or through stylistic choices that alter viewers’ perception of what happens in an image. Rodriguez is a co-founder of the collective Pariacaca, named after one of the oldest deities in Peru, a figure predating the colonization of Peru. Between 2020 and 2023, the Pariacaca collective worked on the preservation project of the archive “Archivo Harawi: 50 Years of Visual Anthropology” in the city of Cusco. They exhibited Qoyllur α, a video installation, at the Bienal’25 Fotografia do Porto in Portugal.
Prin Rodriguez has been selected for the Mentorship Awards for Cultural & Artistic Responses to the Environmental Crisis by the Prince Claus Fund, as well as for the 6×6 Global Talent of the World Press Photo. She has been part of the VII Mentor Program, the New York Portfolio Review, and was a finalist in the V National Photography Salon in Lima, Peru. Her work has been showcased at the Festival Internacional de Valdivia in Chile, Festival Territorio in Cuenca, Ecuador, among others. Rodriguez’s work has been published in various photography platforms and magazines worldwide.
