Santiago Escobar-Jaramillo

Santiago Escobar-Jaramillo is a Colombian photographer, photo editor, and architect whose practice combines photography, participatory processes, publishing, and installation to explore memory, territory, and social transformation. He is editor of Raya Editorial and AÑZ, co-founder of 20Fotógrafos and Mesas de Edición, former visual curator of Colombia’s Truth Commission, Fujifilm X-Photographer, TEDx Speaker, NFT Resident of Voice & PhotoVogue. He is the author of the photobooks The Fish Dies by Its Mouth, Patria o Muerte, Land of Light, White Elephant, and LUCÍA.

His work has been exhibited internationally, including the Burgos Biennale, KG+Select/Kyotographie, JIPFest & BALI Foto, PhMuseum, Rotterdam Photo, Cairotronica, Angkor Photo Festival, Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival, and Athens Photo Festival, among others. His projects have received awards from POY International & Latam, JIPFest, BIFA, Fotogalerías-CDF, Critical Mass Top 50 and Idartes. He serves as a nominator for World Press Photo, Leica LOBA, BJP, and the Foam Paul Huf Award, and as  a juror of the Sony World Photography Award, POY Latam, and Furniber.
