Seung Won Choi is a second-year PhD student in Art History & Criticism at Stony Brook University. She holds BA and MA degrees in Aesthetics from Seoul National University. Her research focuses on the history and theory of photography, media archaeology, and the decolonization of photographic media and discourse, with particular attention to subjectivity, sovereignty, and the lived experience of the photographed.
