Born in Limpopo and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Thihangwi Ramutsindela studies Southern African wildlife documentary and nature conservation at the University of Cape Town. Thihangwi is an emerging filmmaker who enjoys sparking conversations around film and environmental issues both inside the classroom and in the community around her. She is a Sunshine Cinema Impact facilitator course tutor and was the program coordinator for the Climate Story Lab ZA 2023. Thihangwi’s dream is to bridge the gap when it comes to impact work by creating an all-inclusive world where stories and individuals have a platform to have their voices seen and heard. She believes nature should be for everyone, and that creatives have a responsibility to make sure that this is reflected through their work.
