Through Barefoot Workshops, Ron Haviv will lead a week-long photography workshop in the Mississippi River Delta, February 2 – 9, 2014. In line with Barefoot Workshops’ hands-on philosophy, Haviv will lead students through the experience of telling someone else’s story, and how that experience changes you, your subject, and the community.
Over the course of the week-long workshop, students will attend lectures by Haviv, discuss various strategies for producing a project, and then embark on their own storytelling in the field. Daily shoots will be paired with critiques and guest presentations. To conclude the workshop, Haviv will work with each photographer to edit work from the week and produce a final group show.
