Join us on Thursday, July 10, at 1700 CEST, either in-person at The VII Foundation Arles, or online, for a panel discussion on ‘Documenting War: The Changing Role of Photojournalism from Vietnam to Gaza.’
Nicole Tung, contributing photographer to The VII Foundation, and guest speaker and photojournalist Belal Khaled, will reflect on five decades of conflict reporting, marking 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War. The panel will analyze the reporting approaches used in subsequent wars, from Bosnia to Ukraine and Gaza, considering our collective understanding of photography’s impact and capacity for change in an era of unprecedented challenges.
