Ed Kashi’s iPhone grid series, “Streets” was selected to be part of THE FENCE 2014 exhibitions in both Atlanta and Brooklyn. Created from a collection of iPhone photos from around the world, these images combine scenes from Burma to Nicaragua, Nigeria, Paris, Aspen, and back home to the New York/New Jersey area. Together these images capture the essence of daily ruminations, observations and ultimately sketches of a photographer’s life and eye at work. Seen in a 4-image grid format, they represent a personal visual diary from daily sights both on and off assignment. Whether resembling each other in content, color or composition, these images speak of the connectedness of humanity on the streets of the world.

Printed on 1000 feet of photographic mesh, THE FENCE is a growing photographic installation curated to represent the work of 40 photographers. For its third year, in addition to its return to the Brooklyn Bridge Park Greenway, and the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway in Boston, THE FENCE continues its expansion, and will include a third location on the Atlanta BeltLine.
