A 4-day intimate workshop will be held in Hong Kong during the last week of November 2015. Open to both photographers and picture editors, the class size will be limited to a small group.
Christopher Morris will expose the group to the different forms of photojournalism that are prevalent today. The class will discuss everything from ethics to creative photographic styles.
Morris usually calls this class “Learning to See.” He hopes to expose the group to what he feels are the common mistakes that many working photographers are making today while also highlighting the successes of what makes a good photograph. Additional subjects include his working formulas for portraiture, film-making and archiving.
The price for the 4-day workshop is $500.
Class Structure:
Day 1: Christopher Morris will go over the theories mentioned above with the class.
Day 2: The group will go over each other’s work with a goal of deconstructing what is being presented in order to identify what could be called “their distinctive style.”
Day 3: Each photographer will put into practice what they have learned the previous days. Shooting assignment to be determined by individual interest.
Day 4: The group with edit each photographer’s material.
Interested applicants should contact Christopher Morris directly at [email protected].
