Organized in collaboration with National Geographic magazine to coincide with a specially dedicated October 2013 issue, The Power of Photography celebrates the iconic publication’s 125 year anniversary. The exhibition presents print, digital and documentary installations, with work by the photographers of VII featured throughout. Included in the exhibition are images from Marcus Bleasdale’s body of work The Price of Precious about conflict minerals in the Congo, a documentary that profiles photographers whose work is included in the October issue of the magazine, including Lynsey Addario and Marcus Bleasdale, and additional images by Ed Kashi, John Stanmeyer and Stephanie Sinclair. The exhibition is open free to the public for six months.
