Hollywood Women Push Directors Guild for Better Parental Benefits

After the birth of her daughter and taking time off to care for her, photographer and director Jessica Dimmock lost her healthcare coverage with the Directors Guild of America because she didn’t meet the wage requirements. This article in The New York Times explains how Jessica has written an open letter asking the Directors Guild to reconsider its policies and allow new parents more time to meet the minimum earning requirement.
