Ana Topoleanu

Ana Topoleanu is a Romanian-Mexican freelance photographer whose journey into image-making began shortly after completing a degree in Sociology at the University of Bucharest.

Her work is influenced by the rich and diverse cultural landscapes of Romania and Mexico, seamlessly blending elements from both worlds to create visual narratives that inspire introspection and wonder. Naturally drawn to capturing subjects within their immediate environment or reflective of personal experiences, she focuses on themes such as women’s evolving societal roles, the complexities of motherhood, human relationships, and the evocative power of memory.

Topoleanu published a book on the last linotype professionals in Guadalajara, Mexico. She has had various exhibitions in Mexico and Spain. She is a member of the VII Community and frequently collaborates with T Magazine on assignments across Latin America.
