Billy HC Kwok is a photographer based between Hong Kong and Taiwan. His projects focus on the rapid shifts in the geopolitical relationships and various forms of power structures present in China and its neighboring regions. Alongside his photographic practice, he also works on multimedia storytelling projects.
Billy HC Kwok’s work has been published in The New York Times, TIME Magazine, The Washington Post, Libération, The Wall Street Journal, Getty Images, Bloomberg, and The Financial Times. In 2022 he received the Abigail Cohen Fellowship from Magnum Foundation. In 2021 he was selected as a Foam Talent by the Photography Museum in Amsterdam. His works have been included in several exhibitions, such as the Landskrona Foto Festival in Sweden, the Dynasty Gallery in Taiwan, the Asia Contemporary Art Show in Hong Kong, DOK:15 in Norway, and the Mino Art Centre in China.
