Sébastien Mabile

Sébastien Mabile is PhD in international law, a member of the Paris Bar, founding partner of the Seattle Avocats law firm, vice-president of the French committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and of the art activism association “Le Mas Baudran” based in Arles.
 
He has been practicing environmental law in all its dimensions (criminal, administrative, and civil) for 25 years on behalf of public institutions, associations, local authorities, and companies. He participated in the defense of the “Soulèvements de la Terre”  in the context of the attempt to dissolve the environmental movement and is involved in the creation of an observatory on violence against environmentalists. 
 
Sébastien is the author of an essay published in January 2025 by Actes Sud entitled “Justice climatique. Pour une nouvelle lutte des classes” (Climate Justice: For a New Class Struggle), in which he questions the inequalities of individual emissions in light of the principle of responsibility developed by German philosopher Hans Jonas.
