Opening on November 20 at 7:00 PM at the City Museum of Zenica, the exhibition Are We There Yet – What Are the Road Signs to the EU? brings together thirty young photographers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
Their work explores how the young generation from the Western Balkans sees, questions, and experiences the idea of Europe – through intimate, authentic photographic stories about identity, belonging, and everyday life.
The Are We There Yet – What Are the Road Signs to the EU? project was initiated by the Embassies of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Western Balkans to encourage dialogue about the region’s European future through visual journalism and art. Participants have engaged in workshops, discussions, and collaborative creation under the mentorship of Ilvy Njiokiktjien.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Anne-Marije van de Staaij, Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ziyah Gafić, Regional Director of The VII Foundation.
20. novembra u 19:00 sati u Muzeju grada Zenice otvara se izložba Da li smo stigli: Koji su putokazi prema EU?, koja okuplja trideset mladih fotografa iz Albanije, Bosne i Hercegovine, Kosova, Crne Gore, Sjeverne Makedonije i Srbije.
Njihovi radovi kroz intimne, autentične fotografske priče o identitetu, pripadnosti i svakodnevnom životu prikazuju kako mlade generacija sa Zapadnog Balkana vide, propituju i doživljavu ideju Evrope.
Projekat su pokrenule ambasade Kraljevine Nizozemske u zemljama Zapadnog Balkana, s ciljem da kroz vizualno novinarstvo i umjetnost podstaknu dijalog o evropskoj budućnosti regiona.
Tokom projekta, učesnici su prošli kroz radionice, razgovore i zajednički proces stvaranja pod mentorstvom Ilvy Njiokiktjien.
Na otvaranju će govoriti Anne-Marije van de Staaij, zamjenica ambasadora Kraljevine Nizozemske u Bosni i Hercegovini, i Ziyah Gafić, regionalni direktor VII Akademije.
