In today’s world strong imagery can be produced with anything from a smartphone to a fully- fledged dSLR kit. This two-day workshop (April 30 to May 1, 2016) in Sydney, Australia will teach you how to see and tell the stories regardless of the tools and is designed to have a lasting impact from this intense, information packed workshop.
The workshop will explore the multifaceted approaches to photojournalism and documentary work and will guide you on your own path. Developing a personal sensitivity and visual style will be discussed and Haviv will encourage participants to work using their instinct rather than formula.
The workshop will combine an assignment, editing sessions, and dialogue. Haviv will also share his own work and experience as a photojournalist. Discussions will guide each person’s narrative direction and then be developed in the workshop.
Throughout the time together, Ron will help you understand the reality of photojournalism and documentary photography and the importance of expressing your own voice. You will leave with a clearer understanding of what it takes and closer to defining your personal voice.
