The VII Foundation, in partnership with the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Sarajevo, is hosting a symposium that will discuss the imagery of the Israel-Hamas War, from the October 7 Hamas attacks against Israel through Israel’s military campaign in Gaza to the present.

The symposium will explore the full range of imagery that represents a conflict and its catastrophic events to the global public, shaping perceptions and conditioning responses. It will cover satellite imagery, social media representations, participant videos, photojournalism, visual journalism, and their connection to geopolitics and humanitarianism.

The event is free and open to faculty and students of the University of Sarajevo and members of the public. This event will also be streamed online by VII Insider. Please register via the link on this page to receive the login information for the online streaming.
