You’re invited to the opening of the Youth Voices Photo Exhibit at the Egleston YMCA!
Come celebrate the stories of 16 young people in Boston through photography! Join us for the FIRST photography exhibit at the Egleston Square YMCA, which serves as a Teen Center for the YMCA of Greater Boston. The exhibit will have the individual teens’ work throughout the building. The young photographers will be there to speak and answer questions about their work.
This program was created by the VII Academy and The VII Foundation in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Boston, PhotoWings, FujiFilm, Adobe and Digital Silver Imaging.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
More about the Youth Voices Program: In this mentorship-based program, teens interacted regularly with experienced photographers and storytellers to create impactful work, learn communication and presentation skills, and have fun. During weekly meetings young people looked at inspiring pictures (including their own) and worked toward creating this final public exhibition that represents their world and their vision. The program is about seeing with emotion and understanding, and making photographs that reflect their own personal voice and vision.
