Join us on Wednesday, July 9, at 1700 CEST, either in-person at The Alexandra Boulat Campus in Arles, or online, for a panel discussion “Documenting Authoritarianism: How Can Journalism Be Better?”
Hosted by Gary Knight, Executive Director of The VII Foundation, the discussion will examine the global rise in authoritarianism and the corresponding threat to free-press reporting and independent media. Gary will be joined by guests Jasmina Djikoli, a Sarajevo-based journalist and filmmaker with over 25 years of media experience in post-conflict societies, and Andrew Cheatham, legal and policy expert and former Senior Advisor for Global Policy at the United States Institute for Peace.
The panel discussion will consider how to counter disinformation and anti-democratic rhetoric, and resist the suppression of the free press through impactful, solution-oriented reporting.
More information on how to register for online attendance will be available soon.
